True first British printing with original unclipped jacket (12s 6d). Illustrated by Pearl Falconer. Jacket has faults - namely edge/shelf wear, patchy loss (mainly to head/tail of spine and to corners), few small (largest approx. 1cm) tears, creasing/rubbing to edges, pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, patchy browning, few marks, pushing/bumping to corners, rubbing, a little patchy loss to top (picture) surface, minor foxing/the odd small mark/browning to reverse (white side), a little patchy creasing/browning/rubbing to front/back inner flaps and is in only fair condition. Boards are very good with crease to spine (book has been read), a little pushing/bumping to corners, the odd small mark, odd small scratch, odd small bump/rub to edges and a little wear (pushing/rubbing/bumping/fading) to head/tail of spine. Some spine lean. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Previous owner's name and date in pen to front end-paper. Pages slightly tanned. Odd small mark/spots of foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Very occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.
