HB no date circa 1860/70 1st thus Ed. Blue linen boards. Dark blue leather corners, gilt lined front and back. Dark blue leather spine and seams, gilt line edged. Gilt banding on spine + decoration. Gilt titles on red leather. 18.8 x 13cm. 374 pages with marble effect edges collectively. Marble coloured e/ps. b/w wood engraving frontis with protective tissue in situ as bound. b/w woodcut illustrations. Pages red border lines. Red silk page marker in situ as bound. Condition: Leather on spine, slightly sunned. Rubbed on spine + corners. Slight showing of boards on corners. Blank white o/ps foxing. 1st one has some numbers pencilled in in top left corner. Following page neat owner name top right corner dated 1902. The odd fox spot on frontis. Fox spots from P370 to end blank white e/p. Seam of P86 where marker ribbon has been housed has caused ghosting from the ribbon in the seam. Remainder of book, clean, v little wear, tight binding, good colour. Lovely copy.
