xi, [1], 271pp, [1], bound in maroon cloth, with binding and hinges tight. Previous owner's bookplate is for Sir George Washington Baxter (1853-1926) who was the second son of William Edward Baxter (1825-1890) Liberal MP for Montrose Burghs, and nephew of the Textile Baron Sir David Baxter, Founder of University College in Dundee, Scotland. Sir George was a key figure in the family textile firm in Dundee - Baxter Brothers - as well as a prominent Liberal Unionist and President of University College. The covers show light edge wear, bumped corners, spine nick, with spine darkened. Interior shows occasional uncut page, with foxing on the preliminary pages. From the personal collection of Dr. Brooks Ryder (1918-1995), graduate of Harvard College, Harvard School of Public Health, and Tufts Medical School. Known for his Public Health expertise overseas, throughout East Africa and Indonesia. Seller Inventory # 009210
