Item description from seller

1st edition. Hardcover. Folio format. Original boards with black and red lettering and borders, spine missing, small ink initials on fep, pages clean and tidy with just an occasional thumb mark. G.K.Chesterton said that Bateman was ' the Master of Wild Exactitude', and nearly 100 of his superb caricatures in this collection bear this out with gusto, such as in 'Sale Shopping As Seen From Behind The Counter' and in his numerous drawings of sporting scenes.
