Jake Falstaff was the pen name of Herman Fetzer (1899-1935), the Ohio journeyman-writer who served as novelist, poet, and newspaper columnist. Published posthumously, this collection preserves his poetry, known for spontaneity and verve while sharing Whitman's affirmation of life. The dust jacket illustration by Raymond Bishop brings to mind the lively dynamism of Artzybasheff. Dust jacket is now housed in a removable, clear archival sleeve. . Seller Inventory # 6389
