Saddle-stapled wrappers lightly worn at the ends of the spine and a little tanned; light surface abrasion to the head of the front cover; minor signs of handling; a very copy. Reprinted from the 'Barrier Miner' (13 August 1937), which records the text was delivered as a talk to the local Field Naturalists' Club. It concerns a series of cave inscriptions carved by explorer Ernest Giles between 1861 and 1863 at Nootumbulla Creek (now in the Mutawintji National Park) and Burke's Cave (Scropes Range) in far western New South Wales. The National Library of Australia states that only 25 copies were printed for private circulation. Seller Inventory # 146678
