One of 200 copies printed at the Kelly Winterton Press in New York of this wonderfully chatty circa 1977 letter offering the upcoming Houghton Mifflin editor (formerly of Kenyon Review) copious words of advice on the best little shops in their soon-to-be-shared Boston neighborhood -- where to go for the best canoli, noodles, cheeses, breads, etc. -- as well as offering to share the services of her "quite senior" housekeeper who "has the gift for making things look tidied up and dusted, at least." 16mo hand-sewn tan paperwraps printed in red; 9 pages.
