First Printing, May 1950. Vintage Paperback, Dell Mapback #402. [n.p. at cover]. Harry Bennett front cover illustration. Rear cover is map "The Sheik's City of Stones Where/ Isma is a Prisoner of Love; place of the ben Aissa tribe, Outside Algeria. Spine edges rubbed, reading crease, light creasing, page edges discolored. Hull was best known for her novel The Sheik and other novels set in North Africa and the Middle East. The plot features a relationship against the backdrop of the Sahara Desert.
