Original green paper wrappers string-bound as issued, with titles and decoration printed in black to front wrapper and publisher's advertisement within a decorative border design printed in black to back wrapper for what is a lovely copy of the book; gift inscription on p. [2] of wrappers. 8 pp. The book contains descriptive information on and a woodcut illustration of seven different species of birds: the goosander, falcon, toucan, ostrich, bittern, nightingale and stormy petrel; a title-page woodcut vignette of a rooster brings the total number of woodcuts in the book to nine; very minor spotting/staining internally for what for the most part is a very fresh and clean copy of the book. The condition of the book is NEAR FINE. Only eight copies located on OCLC/WorldCat. RARE.
