S.13 August 1833, since advert list is dated July he was quick off the mark! Sm. later sig. top corner fr.free endpaper, otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked bar a sm.note top end pastedown apparently in Pitcairn's hand ('Glossary of dates p.110'), no browning or foxing. Red cloth covers reasonably clean, a little corner bumping, fading to sp. and cover edges along joints, sp.label good. Issued in Dionysius Lardner's Cabinet Cyclopaedia series. A better copy would be hard to locate given general proneness to fading of works in this series. Note: text in images a bit blurred and unclear but actually fine - my mobile is not quite up to it!
