A clean sound but very well used and helpfully annotated copy of the First Edition. 16mo. original brown cloth pp. [iv], 154 with diagrams & photos. [Neate Q124]. This edition includes all the Yorkshire gritstone climbs known at the time, and as such represents the first overall guidebook to the Yorkshire outcrops. Volume 5. West Yorkshire Area published in 1957 represents their first appearance separate from the Peak.
