The book is divided into two sections: Parts I-III "Venereal Diseases", Parts IV-VII "Diseases Of The Skin" and are accompanied by 58 bright, colorful and very graphic (of course) plates. Some of the plate titles: "Gonorrhoeal Ophthalmia", "Vegetations Or Venereal Warts Of The Skin", Gummatous Syphilide Of Buttocks", "Scleroderma". Useful for medical professionals or movie special effects. From the preface: "In preparing this work I have aimed to present to the eye as well as the mind our most recent knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of Venereal and Skin Diseases".
