Probable first edition (no direct statement but with matching dates upon title and copyright pages). 216 pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 13cm. Lacks dust jacket. Maroon cloth with some mottling and soiling, front board's gilt stamping dulled but legible, spine's gilt stamping remains bright. Some toning and soiling to edges and endpapers; top corners of pages 167-170 creased from past fold-down; interior text pages remain clean. Binding is firm. A very good- copy.
