A fine copy in quarterbacked red cloth and paper-backed boards with a gilt rule border to the front panel, a closed tear to the top of the front panel, and with gilt spine lettering, in a pristine, price-clipped dustwrapper with a wonderful drawing of "Thurber and his Circle" by the renowned New Yorker author and artist. Thurber's widow, Helen, assembled this sparkling book posthumously with material and drawings which included seven astute profiles of his fellow craftsmen E. B. White, Elliott Nugent, Mary Petty,Robert Benchley, George S. Kaufman, John McNulty and Scott Fitzgerald. There are lots of other throught-provoking and funny essays and a serious short story written for the New Yorker. Helen Thurber has contributed a foreward. Seller Inventory # 009505
