Octavo; Sage green cloth-over-boards, with black decorative wrought-iron-like graphic framing title "Painter's Cyclopedia" in gilt, and artist's palette in the center of front board. Gilt and black lettering and design to spine. Fading and some white staining to spine. Shelfwear and rubbing to extremities, but quite solidly bound. Sage-green endpapers. Previous owner's rubber-stamp impression to endpapers, title page and author's introduction "(G.L.(?) Wild / Vista Grande, Cal"). Over 100 illustrations. NOTE: One glossy color chart laid in with twenty color examples, but in this cataloguer's opinion, its smaller page size suggests that it was NOT originally published as part of this book. Note: Even though copyright date indicates author copyrighted this book in 1906, it was probably LATE in 1906 and the first appearance wasn't until 1907. Worldcat shows seven copies in libraries worldwide for the 1907 printing. A doublecheck-lookup under 1906 revealed nothing.
