Cain's Book (First UK Edition)

First UK edition. Original red cloth boards. An important counterculture novel by Alexander Trocchi, first published in Great Britain by John Calder in 1963. Spine faded and slightly cocked, with fading to board edges and a shadow mark to the rear board from a previous jacket protector or covering. Corners lightly bumped and rubbed. Light foxing and occasional soiling to preliminaries and page margins. No dust jacket. Binding remains sound and text complete. A presentable first edition of one of the key works of post-war underground and Beat-related literature.
