Written by Colonel Harvey Miller, who dedicated his life to boxing, being a boxer at a young age, later a coach and then working for the National Boxing Commission and the U.S. Olympic Boxing Committee. This work includes a 'Meet the Author' section, written by Lewis F. Atchison, presenting Miller's boxing credentials and his fifty years of experience.This particular work on boxing aims to defend the sport using statistics, facts and expert opinions. Miller wrote this book in order to present the merits of boxing, with information on medical surveys, boxing within the armed forces and overcoming fear.
