It ws first published in America in 1934, witha reprint edition arriving in 1960. This is a Near Fiine copy of the first English edition [stated "First published by Michael JHoseph Ltd."].Black cloth binding with titling in gilt on the spine. Clean text; 446 pages. There is a 16-page Foreword by Walter Allen. This book is close to pristine; however, the gilt titling on the spine is rubbed; it remains perfectly readable however. The dustwrapper is Very Good (Plus). It is bright but has some chipping to the spine margins and top edges. In an archival plastic protector. First UK Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus. 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.
