Item description from seller

Earl Forrest (1883 - 1969) went to the four corners area in 1902 and photographed Navaho and Ute Indians, many of whom had never seen a white man. He recounts his experiences and the book is illustrated with 125 of his photographs, most of which had never been reproduced until this book. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. Dust jacket is price-clipped and somewhat rubbed with one short tear to the bottom edge, but has no chips, other tears, or markings. The dust jacket is now in a protective, removable, acetate cover. ; B&W Photographs; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 274 pages.
