Volume One, X1X/471pp with Introduction, Foreword, 15 Chapters, 52 illustrations by Canadian Artists, Appendices, Bibliography and Index.One inch of page has been trimmed from title page: no text removed. Minor rubbing to spine although lettering still clear. Volume Two, X111/453pp with 15 Chapters, Epilogue, 48 illustrations (paintings by Canadian artists), Bibliography and Index. Inscription to title page reads, "Helen Boisrert. a gift from the Bank of Montreal" Condition of Volume Two all VG.
