The researchers presenting here were among the first to study the link and would go on to became the catalysts of the "Stop-Smoking Movement" in America. Of note are the contributions of E. Cuyler Hammond and Daniel Horn who presented their research findings on the link between tobacco and cancer at this annual meeting.
