Add to basketBound in publisher's full green cloth, gilt lettering and floral decoration on spines and covers, rear covers blind-stamped with the same lettering and decoration as the front covers, but not in gilt, t.e.g. Illustrated with two tissue-protected full-page color frontispieces in addition to numerous color in-text vignettes introduced as head-pieces, tail-pieces, and in the margins; all of the illustrations are chromolithographs, bright and clean. The Art Nouveau cover design is by Sarah Wyman Whitman, one of the most important book designers of the 19th Century. . Spines and bottom edges lightly sunned, small loss at the head of the spine of Volume 2 only, else near fine; unmarked (aside from some old brief bookseller's markings on the endpapers), tight, square, and clean.
