First edition hardcover in red paper covered boards with white spine title. Lightly bumped spine ends, tips still sharp. Tidy former owner's name in space provided on a Wesley Dennis illustrated horse head bookplate on frt pastedown. 40 pp of text with 20 pp of b/w captioned photographs in the center of the volume. There is light ink underlining on 7 text pages. Unclipped, white background, lightly surface soiled dust wrapper has two one-inch tears at the foot of the rear panel and a couple of micro rubs on the flap fold corners. Displays well in new mylar with shadow-like photo of Caprilli riding that takes up the entire cover. The price is a hand written sticker at the lower fore-edge of the front flap.
