Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Louis De Bernieres, Secker & Warburg, 1995, First Edition, Sixth Impression Listed at number 19 in the 2003 BBC's survey "The Big Read" and adapted for film starring Nicholas Cage, John Hurt and Penelope Cruz, this story is set on the Greek Island of Cephalonia during the Italian and German Occupation of the Second World War. The book is in near fine condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There are crease marks to the bottom corners of the front and rear boards. The end papers and toned pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with wear to the corners of the front cover and creases to the top edge of the spine.
