Gilt has darkened on soine, but bright on cover; spine ends and corners bumped but with no fraying or loss of color. Front and rear endpaper torn along hinge. Frontis: "My name is Shays, In former days In Pelham I did dwell, sir; I was obliged to quit that place, Because I did rebel, sir.".
