Large paper edition. Tall octavo. xxxii, 359pp. Illustrated with a frontispiece engraving of Stockton from a drawing by Jacques Reich and with several plates in the Memorial Sketch by Mrs. Stockton. Three-quarter vellum gilt and papercovered boards. Neat gift inscription by American journalist, editor, and historian Francis W. Halsey on the front fly. Vellum modestly soiled, a near fine copy. Signed by Mrs. Stockton after her written memorial sketch, by artist Reich beneath the frontispiece engraving, and with a clipped Signature of Stockton laid down onto the frontispiece page (as issued; Stockton died the year before this edition was published).
