Rebound in green cloth, gilt title on the spine. See Sabin 39033. "A vivid and apparently candid narrative of the terrible experience of a woman, the survivor of the massacre." Water damage along the bottom of the pages through out the book, but only into the bottom few lines of print in the first few pages. (1870 edition, calling for frontis. port. and 2 plates). Mrs. Larimer was captured by "a band of roving, hostile Indians upon a small company of emigrants that were en route to the gold regions of Idaho. The attack was at Little Box-Elder Creek, in Idaho Territory." A good copy.
