Tarzana: Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., 1939. First Edition, stated. Octavo (19.5cm). Illustrated dust jacket in laminated variant with $2.00 price intact; boards in pebbled blue cloth with red lettering; red topstain; [ii],312pp+[1]ads; 6 illus. including frontis, all present; map endpapers. Jacket lightly shelfworn with some bumping at head of spine. Boards rubbed along edges and joints with brief exposure along top; a few scratches to cloth; spine quite sunned with some chipping at head. Scuffs to topstain near spine. Pages toned along edges, a few with flattened dog-ears. Opens easily between a few gatherings but binding is sound. Pages unmarked. Third novel in the Venus series, originally serialized in Argosy the year prior. [Zeuschner 70].
