pp. [6], 3-251. 12mo. Publisher's quarter green cloth over like paper boards with silver lettering to the spine. Lightest bumping to the spine ends else extremities quite well-preserved, a few unobtrusive small spots to the front endpaper otherwise contents without blemish with bright, clean, and unmarked leaves and firm, sound binding; very good+ and housed in original, unclipped, illustrated dustjacket showing some light chips and creasing along the edges of the panels (dustjacket now housed in protective mylar cover). Overall, very good+. See Spadoni & Donnelly Citation No. 1451 and Fee and Cawker, p. 98. Originally published in French as 'Alexandre Chenevert, Cassier' in 1954 by Flammarion, our offering is the First English Language Edition based upon "the sheets of the Harcourt, Brace edition".
