A 1st print (stated) of a mid 1950s PB edition of a mid 1950s western. Dell Book 924. "On the one side was a huge company which claimed ownership of the land through an old Mexican grant and had both the law and guns to back it up. On the other side were the settlers, people who had lived and worked the land so long that they honestly believed it belonged to them . " Light edge wear to the covers. "Cast a long" is written lightly at the top of the front cover. Faint reading crease. Light browning to the pages. A very good copy.
