London: H. Baldwin, 1794. John O'Keefe (1747-1833) was a prolific and popular actor/dramatist who specialized in farces and comic operas. O'Keefe wrote this libretto for Samuel Arnold, and it was first performed in 1782, when the First Edition was also published in Dublin. This later imprint by a London publisher is rare and attests to the work's continued popularity. This is a Near Fine copy; clean text, 83 pages in wraps. Very bright, with the front cover somewhat darkened (probably prior to the newer paper covers). . Later Printing. Soft Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
