John O'Keeffe (1747 1833) was an Irish actor and dramatist. He wrote a number of farces, amusing dramatic pieces and librettos for pasticcio operas, many of which had great success. Among these are Tony Lumpkin in Town(1778), Love in a Camp (1786), and Omai (1785), and Wild Oats (1791). This is a scarce first edition of one of his later librettos, first performed in Dublin. This copy is very good, disbound, in later plain paper wrappers Slightly aged toned, with very slight foxing at the edges. No other marks or damage. Quite a nice copy for its age. The Dublin first edition is uncommon. AS19.
