Slight stain in along the front hinge, about 1.5 inches, along with the discreet stamp of Bertrand Smith's Acres of Books (Long Beach) on the front pastedown In the price-clipped dust jacket, spine a trifle darkened. A handsome, presentable copy. First American edition of the record of Plov's life as a working Danish farmer, which was first serialized in a Danish newspaper. Jaegermester Plov is the pen name of Gunnar Nislev.The color illustrated dust jacket is a fine example of the era's genre, depicting a stylized, lush farm amid rolling hills.
