Large 8vo. [3], iv-xlix, 1-466, [2] pp. Purple cloth with twin blind rules on each board, gilt lettering on the spine. With a slip laid in stating "Compliments of Mrs. Mary H. Miller, State Librarian". A history of what Iowans could research in their state library in the late nineteenth century. Minor wear to the extremities and fading to the spine.
