First edition stated, first printing of one of the most iconic novels to come out of the twentieth century. [vi], 277 pp. Bound in publisher's black cloth with spine lettered in gilt. Slight rubbing to gilt at rear edge of spine, otherwise Fine. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with a discrete 1.25" closed tear to the top edge of the front panel, spine panel lightly toned and lightly rubbed with a chip at the foot, and light areas of wear to the rear panel. A simply stunning copy of Salinger's masterpiece.
