Undated and unpaginated 16pp illustrated book in recognition of CP Cavafy (1863-1933) "the most erudite poet of Greek Modernism". Drypoint illustration on dark yellow/orange paper dust jacket by Guido Ardern. Repeated on title page. Three original water-colour full-page illustrations. Hand printed on laid paper at The Yew Tree Press. Delicate pale yellow fabric covered boards. Suggestion of water/damp mark to top of cloth at front and rear of book. Touch of red paint at top edge of rear cover. Over-sized yellow dust jacket has a crease to top of spine and shelf wear along top front edge. Protected with original clear glassine wraps. Further protection now as book is enclosed within clear archival envelope. Seller Inventory # 010630

The Bookshop at Beech Cottage trades exclusively via the internet. I acquire most of my stock through a network of suppliers based in southern England. My particular interests are illustrated Private Press and modern Poetry. I also have a collection of Prospectuses and similar ephemera. I am careful to select only the better quality items for the Bookshop that are within my speciality and pass on those that are outside my remit. I am a former librarian and read for pleasure - as many booksellers do! I take great care of my books while they are staying at Beech Cottage and would only ask my customers that they do likewise.
