Item description from seller

Hardcover in half-leather and cloth maroon binding. Five raised bands. Title in bright gilt on spine Plain endpapers. Stamp on front pastedown page reads "Sergeant's Mess, Lord Strathcona's Horse (R.C.)." The number 131 is handwritten under the stamped words. Binding is tight, pages are unblemished, corner are barely worn. Illustrated with photos, drawings, and maps. 8vo. Page numbering begins at 388 and runs to 530. All of the pages are perforated, for easy removel. Four pages have been removed and laid in at rear. From the estate of Donald Skinner, Canadian military collector extraordinaire. Scarce.
