A smart first edition of this very scarce illustrated children's book on the adventures of Cerdic the Saxon. First edition. Very scarce. A charming historical children's story of the days of our Saxon forefathers, following the adventures and experiences of Cerdic the Saxon. With reference to the Danes and their arrival on British shores. Weedon, a British author of children's stories. In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor creases to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. School bookplate to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers.
