First edition, first printing Lee and Shepard 1868. Good plus brown cloth hardcover with gilt lettering and decoration to spine. Mild wear to corners and spine ends. Binding overall is square and firm. Very faint previous owner's vintage inscription to flyleaf, some foxing to tissue guard which is starting to pull away. Second known book containing baseball fiction content (two and a half chapters). Quite scarce.
