About this Item

Dark blue cloth boards with blind stamped "genie lamp" on front and bright gilt titling on spine. Book is tight, square and sharp-cornered with no markings or flaws inside or out, other than some very minor moisture damage to rear cover (this caused the blue of the covers to seep out onto the inside of the DJ). Unclipped Dust Jacket has attractive design of bright blue and wood grain, designed by Harry Ford. Spine titling and colors slightly faded. DJ shows only minor scuffing and shelfwear, a small tear at bottom of spine and the aforementioned blue dye on the inside. This is a collection of five lectures delivered on the William W. Cook Foundation at the University of Michigan, November-December 1948. Perry was the Professor of Philosophy, Emeritus at Harvard.
