Hardcover. Condition: Good. Ardizzone, Edward (illustrator). 1st Edition. Octavo book has cloth covers printed in pastel colors with Dickens characters climbing over and around a giant book standing on end. Good plus condition with light spine fading and wear at bottom, and a bit of wear at the top spine ends. Heavily foxed end papers, but the interior pages are unaffected, and are clean and bright. No dust jacket. The interior pages are dated about three to a page with spaces to fill in birthdays. Most include one or more printed quotes from Dickens' books. Some birthdays have been entered in, neatly, in ink, by the previous owner. Most appear to be from the Riseley family. Illustrated with a full page black and white print at the title page for each month, by Edward Ardizzone. No page numbers. Seller Inventory # 008617

Nice copies in dust jackets are not easy to find. Original pictorial cloth. Endpapers foxed. In original lightly rubbed, frayed, and price clipped jacket. Most of the pages are divided in thirds.
