About this title

Synopsis

Tackling the many forms of infidelity, this anthology of short stories demonstrates that there is nothing foreign to the human heart, but there is plenty that is forbidden and even more that is hidden. From women indulging in illicit breaks from reality to the breakdown of a long-standing relationship, and from the intrigue of betrayal to the luxury of hedonism, My Cheating Heart takes a broad look at the trials and temptations of infidelity in its broadest sense. Among the stories, “In Love with John Travolta” follows an escapist fantasy as it becomes an obsession; a woman attempts to banish her inner tart in “The Romantic Trollop”; “Fancy Man” deals with pesky chapel gossip; and in “The Mari and Me,” a dark, frightening child’s nightmare comes to life. Including both well-known writers and new talent, this collection touches on an intimate and emotionally charged element of human interaction.
