One of a series of Tippenny-Tuppenny Books for children. All Miniature books sized 7cm x 6.5cm (c. 2.8" x 2.5") . Highly destinctive original pictorial covers in primary colours of blue, yellow, red, and white, featuring chicks - titled in red, with paper over thick card cut flush, front and back, but just paper over the spine area which is given to wrinkling due to being just stuck directly onto the gathers. The spine is a bit wrinkled/rubbed, but all titling clear. Internally there are b/w Illustrations of toys inside the front/rear covers/endpapers, and a list of titles in the Tippenny-Tuppenny series (16 listed) opposite the title page. But a No pagination (but circa 44 thick pages). Numerous b/w cute illustrations throughout the book but not 'signed'. Some illustrations have been coloured in by a child, unfortunately in watercolour and none too neatly. There are splits between the 3 gathers but the book is tight and clean otherwise, with NO Inscriptions or other marks. A charming example of an early child's 20th Century Miniature book.
