1st Edition hardcover in taupe cloth covered boards with a black ink horse portrait and red title on front cover. Spine ends and tips sharp. 249pp text is tight and crisp, page-block and endpps foxed, beautifully illustrated with over 100 of Dan Muller's charcoal drawings. No writing, dog ears or tears inside. Original dj with some repairs displays well in new mylar. The true story of a stunning golden Palomino who was admired by everyone who saw him. Contentions are raised when disputes over cattle between the Cross Up outfit and the Lazy Me ranch. A rodeo in Chicago in which Chico's performance and beauty are the envy of all contestants, too much the envy of one Mexican, there is the career of Yellow Fever, the outlaw horse, and at last there is an appealing love story when Buck's childhood sweetheart seeks him out at the rodeo in New York.
