The first edition, first impression in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. This novel, which concerns the life of a couple two years after the kidnapping of their three-year-old daughter, won the 1987 Whitbread Novel Award. It was written by Ian McEwan, a highly regarded author who has been nominated for the Booker Prize six times to date, winning the prize for Amsterdam in 1998. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
