Letterpress title-page (lightly soiled). 24 lithographic plates of small objects interleaved with artist's tracing paper (only the first of which has been used to trace some of the objects in pencil, a few pale stains). Original black cloth gilt (expertly rebacked to style). Provenance: small ink library stamp of B.L. Starling on the front paste-down. First edition. A charming copy book with plates full of everyday 19th-century objects, from the simplest of pots and pans, to more complicated scenes and instruments. Most of the objects are easily recognizable however there are many that 21st-century eyes children would find curious.
