It was named after Methodist bishop John Emory. The main College relocated to Atlanta in the early 1900's and was renamed Emory University. The Oxford Emory College campus is still open today and is part of Emory University. Early Atlanta imprint by C. R. Hanleiter one of the first printers in Atlanta.
