THE CIVIL WAR DIARY OF DANIEL CHISHOLM BY MENGE & SHIMRAK 1989 HC DJ NF. From the flap of the dust jacket: At war s end, Chisholm had the foresight to preserve a personal chronicle of the war. He collected the letters he had written home, and he transcribed them into a notebook. He also borrowed the diary of Samuel Clear, his fellow soldier and townsman, and he transcribed that into his notebook as well. The result is an extraordinary glimpse at the life of ordinary soldiers 125 years ago, as told in their own words. This medium-sized hard cover book (6 ¼ x 9 ½ inches, 202 page) was published by Orion Books of New York, dated 1989 and the First Edition (so stated). Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The dust jacket and the hard covers are pristine, without any sign of wear or blemish. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages are bright and clean throughout, without toning or foxing. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Language: ENG.
