Olive green cloth on boards with black and gilt decoration and lettering to front board and spine. Mild bumping and rubbing to extremities and light spotting to fore-edge of text block. Top page edges are gilt. No inscriptions. Book block is tight. Sadly lacking front end paper. First edition and first printing of 1912. ( As indicated by gilt lettering to publisher's name at bottom of spine ). Delightfully illustrated with numerous black and white photographic plates and eight colour plates by various artists. A scarce first printing in remarkably good condition. A heavy book which will incur additional carriage charges for non UK customers.
