Tan calf boards, each with a simple gilt border, the spine has raised bands, each furrowed in gilt along the top, creating six compartments each repeating a gilt decoration save for the second from the top which has a red leather label with "Clever Stories J.G. Saxe" in gilt, gilt decoration along the edges of the boards, marbled page edges, and marbled endpapers. Boards and spine show some wear, owner name on the front flyleaf, still a very good copy with the binding tight and sound and the pages clean. Features "The Blind Men and The Elephant," "Always in Luck," "The Ugly Aunt," "Ho-Ho of the Golden Belt," and more.
